Dr. Taira is an Assistant Professor of Mechanical Engineering at the Florida A&M/Florida State University. His research interests are in the areas of computational fluid dynamics, unsteady aerodynamics, flow control, and hydrodynamic stability analysis. His research group is supported by AFOSR, ARO, and AFRL to investigate fundamental problems in active flow control and vortex dynamics. He has been awarded the 2013 Young Investigator Award by AFOSR.
